  • 1. How will the district's use of instructional technology support a comprehensive and sustained effort to improve student
performance and academic standards, while also addressing the need to provide equitable learning opportunities
“everywhere, all the time” (National Technology Plan)?

The district’s strategy directly supports the USNY Statewide Learning Technology Plan and the 2024 National Educational Technology
Plan (NETP) by addressing the three core barriers to digital equity: Access, Design and Use.
By integrating our 1:1 initiative and hotspot program with our long-term infrastructure and professional learning goals, we provide a
comprehensive framework for "everywhere, all the time" learning.
    1. Eliminating the Access Divide
To meet the National Technology Plan’s vision of equitable access, the district ensures that physical and digital barriers do not hinder
    student performance.

    • 1:1 Device Program: Providing personal devices to all students and staff ensures that high-quality digital resources are available in every classroom.
    • Community Connectivity: By providing hotspots to families and staff in need, the district extends the learning environment beyond the school building, ensuring students can meet academic standards regardless of their socio-economic background or home internet access.
    • Infrastructure Reliability: Our goal to refresh critical network components ensures that the "on-campus" experience remains high-speed and secure, meeting the Digital Capacity standards of the USNY plan.

    2. Bridging the Design & Use Divides
Providing devices is only the first step; the USNY plan requires that technology be "seamlessly integrated" to improve academic
    standards.

    • Professional Learning (Design): Our commitment to consistent training empowers educators to become designers of active learning. This allows instructors to create inclusive, standards-based experiences that utilize technology to solve real-world problems.
    • Purposeful Integration (Use): Rather than passive screen time, our goals focus on the purposeful use of technology. By using district-wide instructional reviews and student projects as success metrics, we ensure that technology is being used for critical analysis, creation and deeper engagement with content.

In summary, the district’s comprehensive approach ensures that technology serves as a bridge, rather than a barrier, to student
achievement. By modernizing our infrastructure to meet NIST 2.0 standards and maintaining a 1:1 environment supplemented by
hotspots, we fulfill the "everywhere, all the time" mandate of the National Educational Technology Plan. When these robust access
points are paired with sustained professional development focused on inclusive design, we transition from simple technology adoption to
a transformative instructional model. This alignment with USNY standards ensures that every student, regardless of their individual
circumstances, is equipped with the digital fluency and equitable opportunities necessary to succeed in a modern, interconnected and
    ever-changing world.

Yes. One or more of our students will attend a program operated by a BOCES or another public school district.
X None of our students will participate in a full-time virtual instruction program.
