On Tuesday, May 21, Florida Union Free School District voters approved a $22,687,220 budget proposal and elected three members to the Board of Education.
Voters approved the budget for 2019-20 by a vote of 381 yes votes to 164 no votes.
Voters also elected three members to the board of education: Sue Wheeler (3 year term), Meg Sgombick (3 year term) and Coleen Connolly (1 year term).
In total, four candidates sought election to the three open seats. The candidates were:
- Sue Wheeler (appointed incumbent), received 326 votes
- AnnMarie Scotti received 287 votes
- Meg Sgombick (incumbent), received 330 votes
- Coleen Connolly received 321 votes
