Discipline is Not a Dirty Word (a virtual series)
Thursdays – March 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 7-9 pm
Cornell Cooperative Extension is once again offering our flagship parenting program. This 4-session virtual series is designed for parents of youth 2-10 years of age. It also is a great program for those who working with young children in a child care setting or classroom.
As a result of this program parents and caregivers will learn:
- Different parenting/teaching styles and which one style works best for you and your child
- Why children behave the way they do
- Effective communication and conflict resolution strategies
- Understanding the value of empathy in relationships
- How to set realistic limits
- How to support social and emotional development in your child
Overall this program is designed to help build healthier and happier relationships with the children in your care.
