April Athletes of the Month

Julia Contursi
Julia is a 7th-grade, first year varsity player who has made a big impact on our team. As our starting catcher, she has shown tremendous growth and toughness behind the plate, handling every game with confidence and determination. Offensively, she has been a key contributor, leading the team with 11 hits and an impressive .367 batting average in eight games. Beyond the numbers, her work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to support her teammates is what is most impressive. She continues to improve each day and represents our program with pride.
Cole Chiavaro
Freshman Cole Chiavaro has had an outstanding start to the season, on the mound and at the plate. In 22.1 innings pitched, he posted an impressive 2.50 ERA while recording 39 strikeouts and holding opposing hitters to a .167 batting average. When he’s not pitching, Cole contributes behind the plate as a catcher, showing his versatility and value to the team. Offensively, he has been just as impactful, batting .389 with nearly a .500 on-base percentage. A team captain, Cole leads by example through his strong work ethic and consistent effort in practice, making him a key contributor to his team’s success.
Ryan Slesinski
Ryan is a first year member of the Spring Track and Field Team. He can compete in events ranging from the 100m to the 800m. He is an extremely valuable contributor to both the 4x400m and 4x800m relays. He has set goals for himself and is continually working hard at practices to achieve these goals. He has shown tremendous improvement in just less than 2 months of training. He comes to practice every day with a positive attitude and ready to work. He is well deserving of being nominated athlete of the month.
