This year, a select group of eighth-grade leaders stepped beyond the classroom walls to participate in Junior Leadership Orange (JLO). Gianna Gorcsos, Emma Caldwell and Gianna Hernandez  embarked on a year-long journey of growth, advocacy, and community exploration, culminating with graduation on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Through monthly sessions across Orange County, our JLO representatives traded their desks for real-world experiences. They engaged in interactive presentations with local experts and stepped into the shoes of county leaders to master essential skills such as communication and advocacy, civic responsibility and future readiness.

From studying fiscal literacy, experiencing the justice system, to exploring diverse career sectors, these students have proven they aren't just the leaders of the future, they are the leaders of now. Congratulations to this year’s JLO cohort for their commitment to excellence and community service!
