This FREE training is part of our Education Advocacy Transition workshops for students with disabilities of all ages and their parents/guardians. For your convenience, we have set up 2 sessions (am/pm) to accommodate varying schedules.

Our training series is designed to help parents and students develop as a self-advocate by developing the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate special education. Bring your student’s IEP and we’ll go over, line by line, what’s there and what might need to be there.
This training will cover the following:
1.) Understanding each section within the IEP
2.) Learning the school’s obligation within the scope of an IEP
3.) Understanding terms and abbreviations often found in IEP
4.) Q & A
