Fall sports registration and tryout information - Florida Union Free School District

Spartan logo with text below: S.S. Seward Institute Athletic Registration The fall sports season is just around the corner! High school sports start Aug. 26, with the exception of football starting on Aug. 19. Modified sports start on the first day of school.

Registration must be completed prior to attending any practices with full clearance from the school nurse. Registration opens online on July 26 for high school students only. Modified athletes can register after Aug. 5. Students who wish to play multiple sports throughout the school year should register for all they want to participate in.

A variety of medical information is needed to register:

Updated physical: Seward has free physicals on Aug. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the nurse’s office. No Appointment necessary. Mrs. Frommer: mfrommer@floridaufsd.org
Vaccinations: Age 11 and up need vaccinations for tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) and 1 dose meningococcal to participate. Age 16 and up also need a second dose of the meningococcal vaccine to participate.
Interval Health History Form: This form, located in the registration link, needs to be filled out no more than 30 days prior to the start of any season and must be filled out before every season.
