Hello Spartan Nation!
The excitement that comes with the beginning of a new school year is starting to build here at Seward. The building is sparkling, teachers are starting to come in and set up classrooms, athletics are starting on Monday, and the planning and preparation is almost complete. We look forward to the hallways and classrooms coming to life once again, filled with our students and staff.
Summer break is not over yet and we hope that you continue to enjoy this precious time. We will be patiently awaiting the first day of school and have some important information to share in the meantime. Please review carefully the points below, as well as the attached files to this letter:

Important Documents:
In addition to these important points, we are including relevant information regarding the Code of Conduct Acknowledgement Form, Code of Conduct, Dignity for All Students Act (DASA), Dress Code, Social Media Use, Military Notice, AIDS/HIV Education, Student Digital Resources Survey and supply list for Middle School/High School. Please review this information carefully and contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Also, note that we will be assigning lockers this year and the necessary lock information is on the Supply List. In addition to the orientation invitations, please keep an eye out for important information that will be sent out in the coming weeks. This information will include emails (senior parking applications, bus routes, etc.), as well as some mailings (emergency forms and contact information verification).
We look forward to continuing to build upon our SAFE and RESPECTFUL learning environment at S.S. Seward in the year ahead of us. We made terrific strides in many areas and truly appreciate everyone’s role in building such a positive school community. Every student deserves a safe and respectful environment throughout their school day, with clear expectations and free from distractions. The success of our students and staff is dependent on the support we receive from our families. We are looking to have a few parent/guardian representatives volunteer to review the District Code of Conduct with us as members of our Building Leadership Team (BLT). If you are interested in being a part of that review process throughout the year ahead, please click here and complete the sign up form. Thank you for the value you have placed on providing a safe and respectful school community for our students!
If you have any questions or if we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you,
Michael Maesano
